Consent matters. People have a right to know when AI is analyzing their behavior. The technology works, but that does not mean it should be deployed everywhere without guardrails.

The Future of Machine Reading of People

The WSOP demonstration is a milestone, but it is just the beginning. As models improve, expect AI behavior reading to become more accurate and more widespread.

The poker world will adapt, as it always has. Players will learn to control their tells or deliberately plant false ones. The AI will adapt to those adaptations. The same arms race that has defined poker for decades will continue, now with silicon participants.

One thing is certain: the age of AI that can read human behavior is here. How society chooses to use that capability is the next big question.
